Our story

This is Fordson Labs. A hip-hop collective out of Richmond, VA, comprised of Carter Ward and Coleman Greene. Since their first DJ gig at a friend’s house party in 8th grade, Coleman and Carter have pushed themselves to create and perform the music that they love. An evolving rap career for Coleman was brought to the next level when he first collaborated with Carter in 2013. In 2015, Fordson Labs was born. King Cole and The Cartier decided to pursue an original sound and mission, focusing on their own experiences and goals. Our goal at Fordson Labs is to bring an original experience to our audience, whether on the stage or behind turntables. When anyone sees roots, doves, or water, we want them to be reminded of the truth that they can find in our music.
